Monsignor Giuseppe Anfossi, in continuity with the first volume “Le

Vocazioni Adulte – memories of an innovative Seminary, an experience

still relevant to be passed on” offers the reader the experiences lived during the

years of life at the Piedmont Regional Seminary for Adult Vocations

and leads them to reflect on the importance of a Seminary

for those who feel the call to priesthood only in adulthood.

The emeritus bishop of Aosta highlights the fundamental aspects

of the experience of the Seminary for Adult Vocations by tracing

an imaginary timeline “Yesterday” and “Today”.

A line that becomes increasingly imperceptible when the experiences

of those who have guided men to become priests and those who have let themselves

be guided intertwine and blend.

The Preface by Card. Arrigo Miglio enriches the volume by comparing

his own personal experience of life in the minor Seminary

with the reality of the Seminary for Adult Vocations.

Giuseppe Anfossi, Emeritus Bishop of Aosta, was born in Marebbe on 7

March 1935.

From 1975, for nine years, he was rector of the Piedmont Regional Seminary

for adult vocations.

On December 30, 1994, Pope John Paul II appointed him bishop of

Aosta.

Monsignor Anfossi had the privilege of welcoming John Paul II six times during his summer stays and Pope Benedict XVI three times.

He was President of the Episcopal Commission for the Family and Life

of the CEI until November 9, 2011, when Pope Benedict XVI accepted

his resignation, submitted due to age limits.

He currently lives in Turin where he offers support to the Family Pastoral Care.
